Outlook Stuck on continuous loop in Send and Receive at 50%

The other day while browsing the Internet I Found A Fix for a recent problem I was having. The issue is described as follows;

Outlook was stuck in a continuous loop in Send/Receive at around 50%. It seemed to be downloading mails byte by byte but could not complete the task.  Also, the application itself was constantly hanging and bringing the pc to a standstill

The solution and description to this error is set out below;I tried everything; removing the extend.dat file, recreating the mail profle, etc. The solution that worked in the end was a repair install of Microsoft Office.

To do this;

1. Click on Start and go to the Control Panel.
2. Add/Remove Programs.
3. Look for Microsoft Office 200x.
4. Click on Change and follows the prompts to run a repair install of the application.
